If I wanted to make money I would hands down buy a license for Synth V as it is cheaper then Vocaloid and has one of the best English Voice bank on the market.
FUKASE VOCALOID COSPLAY FREE
If I were you and I didn't plan to make money with my music I would ask for Vocaloid 5 with Fukase and would get the free version of Synth V. My favorite Vocaloids are Kagamine Len, OLIVER, and V4 Flower. I've never used CeVIO so I can't give any comment on that. Vocaloid 5 is okay and I've heard Fukase is a very good choice for beginners, but keep in mind that Fukase has a special restriction put on him. Please note: our size chart might be different from the standard US size chart. (and yes Vocaloid 2 does come with voice banks.) I would still recommend against it though as it is very old software. VOCALOID (hereafter stylized as Vocaloid) is the term for voice synthesis technology that was developed by Yamaha.Sung lyrics can be created by inputting the melody and lyrics into the software.
Vocaloid 2 sometimes doesn't work on modern systems so I wouldn't recommend it, but if you are able to get Vocaloid 1 working then I'm sure Vocaloid 2 would be ok. If you just want to use it to make some originals or covers to post on Youtube or something and don't plan to make money you can! Synth V is also FREE unless you want to use it to make money. Eleanor Forte in my opinion is the best English voice bank available in terms of ease of use. It comes with Eleanor, Genbu, And the Synth V version of Renri, the latter two being Japanese. Although it has a small voice bank list it is VERY beginner friendly. I would 100% recommend Synth V for any budget.
